The Focus on Emotion Project is the marriage of dance photography and fundraising for mental health and counseling services in our local community. For the first few years, the beneficiary of such efforts is the Rape and Abuse Crisis Service of Central Missouri, a non-profit organization providing services to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. The first year was a wild success, photographing 42 dancers and wrapping up in a gallery show held at the Capitol City Cinema in Downtown Jefferson City.

Dance sessions are offered at my home studio, or via group sessions (3-4 dancers in a 3-hour block) hosted by dance studios. 

Each participant pays a $150 fee, and will receive the session, a $350 credit to be used toward purchase of photographic product collection or album (no purchase required). The 2026-2027 season of this fundraiser will also include a portion of each sale being donated directly to RACS.
