Sometimes I create to keep myself fresh…sometimes I am commissioned to create something special…sometimes an image calls for something a bit extra.

Given the time investment required to create custom art portraits, a minimum investment of a wall portrait required. Artist Original files are not licensed for reproduction.

Avian Enchantment

This portrait was created with my daughter and her Quaker Parrot. It was awarded the Imaging Excellence designation during the International Photographic Competition hosted by Professional Photographers of America, 2021.

Sunflowers

The background for this image was created from an original painting of a sunflower field created by the senior.

Ghoul Friends

Award-winning image created with one of my senior portrait clients that I had invited back for a play date. I could have not picked a more perfect girl for this one. :) I still come across that doll in my storage unit and apologize to her every time I put her back on the shelf.

The image that started it my unintentional yearly Halloween Portrait tradition I needed a competition image in a pinch. This is what I ended up with. I challenge myself to learn something new each year.

Brady - Senior Firefighter

When the back parking lot of the fire station, trees, and blue skies conflict with your vision, and taking the fire truck anywhere you want just isn't an option. We make magic anyway.

Medusa - 2019

What has become an unintentional tradition, my yearly Halloween self portrait, and my most challenging one to date. Consisting of over 125 separate layers and created with a minimum of 12 different images, finally completed after what seemed an eternity, or roughly 40 hours of work. Many late nights spent laboring over this one.

Helias Football

Client and I could not manage to nail down a time between scheduling and weather to head to the football field for portraits, so I did the next best thing. Went myself, created the digital backdrop and photographed my senior in the studio.

Remnants

Created for competition, I learned a great deal of new techniques with this one. Countless hours in photoshop, this was one of my first attempts at a more involved composite and aiming to create something a bit more surreal.
